This is Kyle, my husband, sitting in the Dubai airport on the way to our honeymoon in the Maldives. This trip, the start of the beginning of our lives together, is the reason we invested in a nice camera, even though we had no idea how to use it. And this photo is the result of snapping photos, with just about zero knowledge of our camera.
And this is me, Laura, in the Maldives on our honeymoon. Here is where we began our adventures in photography, with plenty of gorgeous scenery to practice our new hobby. While I won't say we did good, we at least learned a little bit! And took about 600 photos in the process...
And this is the Maldives, our most favorite place on Earth:

This bird hung out with us our entire stay.
We took a sunset cruise on a traditional Maldivian Dhoni, and I got to play the drums!
We saw hundreds of dolphins... we were like little kids with candy we were SO excited. They are such neat animals. The more we clapped, the more they put on a show for us.
